Goal: describe a person's character honestly, use reciprocal & reflexive pronouns, describe a bar graph of qualities, write a 200-word essay on personality. Examined in Test 2 (matching qualities), Test 7 (comprehension), Test 14 (bar graph), Test 16 (personality essay).

📐 Reciprocal pronouns

  • each other — TWO people.
  • one another — MORE than two.
  • Possessive: each other's · one another's.
  • NEVER add -s.
Twins love each other. (2) The four houses compete with one another. (4)

📐 Reflexive pronouns

  • I → myself
  • you (sing.) → yourself
  • he / she / it → himself / herself / itself
  • we → ourselves (NEVER "ourself")
  • you (pl.) → yourselves
  • they → themselves
I taught myself the guitar. Make yourself at home. We enjoyed ourselves.

  • Mention only ONE in any personality essay.

✍️ Writing — bar-graph & personality

  • Bar-graph (Test 14): ~100 words. Required phrases: the majority of · least number of · approximately · maximum · minimum · equal number of · more than · less than.
  • Personality paragraph (Test 8): 50–60 words. Person → 2 qualities → 1 example.
  • Personality essay (Test 16): ~200 words. Hook → 3 qualities + concrete story for each → 1 weakness → warm close.
  • HONESTY rule: 3 positives + 1 weakness reads more believably than 5 praises.
